quietstorm961:Its pretty unique how they work, you know those “click here to recieve a free ipod” ad’s well it works similar to that. Except the only difference is you can shop and keep in contact with friends. They make money for advertising and you shopping, and in return they give you money back for different reasons (reffering friends etc…)
Its not very big yet and im not sure how or if it will grow but its worth giving it a shot.

belzinghast:The thing you need to know is this is from the same guys that do pre-paid legal. This means it’s a pyramid sceme. Do not do this. I wouldn’t trust anything these guys come up with if they said I’d make 1 million dollars by signing up my brother.

To put it simple, Blastoff combines everything that you need and want online into one portal that you can customize yourself.
So it takes Facebook and Myspace and expands on the social networking concept that has shaped Web 2.0 and combines it with leading sites that we use everyday like Pandora, Hulu, AOL music. In addition, it also brings in the content that you want, shopping, and gaming.
I like it and think its a great idea because why go to 100 sites a day when I can create a portal that I can see everything I want from all the different sites all on one page. To me this is better than Myspace and Facebook because I can manage my friends and do EVERYTHING I need to do on the net without going elsewhere.
I saw the last guy say something about Prepaid Legal and to correct him, Prepaid Legal and Blastoff Network are separate companies owned by separate entities.
These companies are NOT the same, and even if you dont see the value in Prepaid Legal, Blastoff Network is something for anyone.
Prepaid Legal has formed a partnership with Blastoff So anyone who wants legal services has it available just like everything else on there.
BEST OF ALL, Blastoff is FREE! So I feel like there is nothing to lose.

This is a unique site that is compared to the viral and social nature of Facebook and MySpace. When it launches on October 12th, 2009, it is expected people will want to sign up as they will be saving money doing something they already do (shop online – I certainly do!), making money (by referring), and having fun (the social nature as in Facebook and MySpace).
Once it catches on, it will be natural to want to spread the word as it is a win situation for the consumer as well as retailer.
